Second Life komen, voor mijn presentatie over de inzet van sociale media door het BHIC:
On 6 March 2011 at the meeting for Archivists of Second Life at 1P SLT/PDT, I shall give an informal presentation about the use of Social Media by archivists at the Brabant Historical Information Center (BHIC) in the Netherlands. Archivists at the BHIC keep many archives and collections and use Social Media to highlight those, to keep in touch with patrons, to use crowdsourcing and much more.
In this short presentation I will first give a quick overview of our goals, tools, achievements and lessons learned. Depending on the audience's questions, I will then give further information about specific projects.
The following tools will get special attention: Website in general, Forums and Webcare, Chat, Blogs, Flickr, Twitter, Wikipedia and Facebook. The presentation will be in Voice and is supported by slides.
