Inspireren / To inspire

ENGLISH TRANSLATION

Today my presentation for the KVAN Conference 2007 was scheduled. (The KVAN is the Royal Dutch Society for Archivists.) Many people attended! In fact more than I expected. And I got a real good feeling myself too! :-)

I told my colleagues in an enthusiastic way about web 2.0, e-communities, Second Life and web 3.D. Before the presentation started, I was afraid that it would be too much information in just short a time, but that went quite all right actually.

Some people were really inspired by my story - and you just can not give me a bigger compliment than that, you know - and some of the participants that were sceptical before, became enthusiastic and may even want to take a look themselves. (If any of you are reading this: please do so!)

This was - as far as I know of - the first time that any Dutch archivist talked about web 2.0 and all the other things at a day like this. In a way, I find that a real honour... :-)

Anyway, you can download the presentation to see for yourself or see it over again. Without me talking through it, it will be much quieter... but you will miss a lot too! Ah well, it gives an impression, right?

By the way, the organisation of this congress was outstanding! Once again my compliments to the organisation commitee: good programme, well facilitated... just all of it good!
