Een internationaal gezelschap / An international company

Gisteren hadden we voor het eerst sinds een poosje weer een bijeenkomst van archivarissen in Second Life. Op de foto zie je het internationale gezelschap waarmee we rond het kampvuur zaten.

Groepsleden uit Nederland en Vlaanderen (alhoewel die laatste door technische malheur moest afhaken), Denemarken, Amerika, Australië en Smurfenland waren allemaal present. Om verschillende redenen konden enkele anderen helaas niet aanschuiven die avond (of morgen of middag), maar we hadden een hele goede bijeenkomst: informatief, inspirerend en erg gezellig! :-)

Een korte post dit keer, maar dit geef ik je nog even mee: het meest geweldige aspect aan het hele gebeuren in SL vind ik nog steeds hoe eenvoudig je in contact komt met mensen en collega's van over de hele wereld! Daar kan ik sommige avonden echt niet over uit.

ENGLISH TRANSLATION

Yesterday, for the first time in a while, we had once again a gathering for archivists in Second Life. On the picture you'll see in what sort of international company we were sitting around the campfire.

Group members from the Netherlands and Belgium (although the latter had to drop out because of technical issues), Denmark, America, Australia and Smurf land were all present. For several reasons some others unfortunately were unable to draw up a chair to join us this evening (or morning or afternoon), but we had a very good meeting anyway: informative, inspiring and a lot of fun! :-)

A short post this time, but I'll gladly give you this comment to take with you: the most wonderful aspect about the whole SL thing, to me still is the easy way in which you can meet up with people and colleagues from all over the world! Some evenings I just can't stop talking about that.
